Inkbook Lumos 6

(Occasionally used ones show up on Amazon Warehouse — or they have in the past. ) I can accept simple reading software (the Tolino Page has that) but "buggy" is another story. I don't know - this is the first Inkbook model I've reviewed. I think I may have older models sitting around somewhere. I'll pull one out and test it. Edit: I have the Inbook D62 Prime. I'll try it and tell you what I think. Friendly, responsible and cozy. I do not use the stock reading app though, using AlReader eink adaptation instead.

It's a nice bonus being able to install apps to broaden the overall functionality of the device, but Android apps aren't designed for E Ink screens so most don't work well and the core reading software is too basic and prone to random problems to rely on. The InkBook Lumos has a nice lightweight design that makes it comfortable to hold, and it offers a good amount of features for the price, but unfortunately the software is simply too buggy and unpredictable for me to recommend this device. Is it really so buggy? I thought the price isn't too high so I did not expect any breakthrough. 09-12-2018, 04:08 PM # 6 eReader Wrangler Posts: 5, 429 Karma: 31218352 Join Date: Mar 2013 Location: Boise, ID Device: Nooks, Kindles, Sonys, Kobos, Tolinos and others. Top reviews from the United States There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later. Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2018 Verified Purchase With the e-reader in the cover and turned on, the front light sometimes goes out for no reason and the screen freezes, not responding to touches. Also, the power on/off button on the cover doesn't work properly; it doesn't connect right to the on/off switch on the reader itself. So, when the screen freezes up or the reader shuts itself off, I have to remove the reader from the cover just to restart it. I know the problem is with the cover because this doesn't happen when the reader is not inside the cover. Unless whoever makes/sells this defective cover can make it right, and soon, I intend to return this item for a refund.
